The Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, Society, And Culture is a 3-year, internationally accredited program offering a modern and interdisciplinary education in humanitarian issues and how they interact with societies and cultures. You will earn a globally recognized American and European B.A. degree.
The B.A. in Humanities, Society, and Culture program delivers a broad curriculum that develops critical and informed thinking about the world’s humanitarian issues today and for the future. You will learn the principles, concepts, and theories behind modern social issues and democratic transformations.
The Humanities, Society, and Culture program examines modern societies with a range of practical and academic methods in the social sciences and humanities, including philosophy, cultural anthropology, history, the arts, literature, and film studies. You are guided by an international faculty of specialists through modern social theory and intellectual histories.
You will learn the principles, concepts, and theories behind modern social issues and democratic transformations. This undergraduate program includes an interdisciplinary course structure, developing strong competency in theory and research.
Beyond the classroom, you can also join student clubs like Model UN and Film Club, discuss current political issues with professors and local experts at an event like ‘Professors in the Pub’ or stop by one of our movie nights or poetry readings in the Library featuring professors and internationally published authors.
AAU’s Career Center also connects students with numerous professional internships in the Czech Republic and abroad every year.

Afgestudeerden van de BA in Humanities, Society And Culture kunnen verwachten:
- Demonstreer brede kennis van ideeën en problemen op het gebied van kunst, literatuur, film, filosofie, religie, geschiedenis, politiek & sociologie, antropologie en psychologie; een brede kennis van de theorieën, methoden en concepten op deze gebieden aantonen.
- Gebruik geschikte kwantitatieve en kwalitatieve onderzoeksmethoden, concepten en theorieën.
- Redelijk complexe theoretische en praktische problemen en problemen in veranderende contexten aanpakken en oplossen.
- Communiceer effectief problemen, problemen of dilemma's en hun oplossingen.
- Spreek naast Engels nog minstens één taal.
- Onderneem effectief en verantwoord actie, zowel individueel als binnen een team.
- Houd rekening met diverse en veranderende sociaal-culturele contexten.
Carrièremogelijkheden
AAU-afgestudeerden gedijen in multinationale omgevingen en kunnen professioneel in het Engels communiceren met een internationaal publiek. Als afgestudeerde van deze opleiding ben je goed uitgerust om je graduate studie voort te zetten of een wereldwijde carrière na te streven op gebieden zoals:
